Bethell, Stevens Join TM Studios

TM Studios announces the addition of two new executives — Dave Bethell joins as Creative Director/New Business Development and Chris Stevens is named VP, Affiliate Management. Both moves play into a new affiliation strategy for jingles at TM, where creative staff will be directly involved with clients from the beginning of the affiliation process. Bethell and Stevens will report to Greg Clancy, GM/VP Creative at TM Studios.

Bethell (left) is a prolific composer who has written radio IDs for BBC Radio and Capital FM in the UK, and Smooth FM in Australia. His compositions are also heard on hundreds of U.S. radio stations. Bethell also built Beds & Beats, a renowned production music library, which he sold to BMG in 2015. In his new role, Bethell will write custom jingle packages at TM and be the creative force behind TM’s Contemporary Evo brands. His business experience will also have a significant impact on TM’s Marketing and Business Development strategies. “It’s an honor to work with one of the most exciting and creative teams in the industry, working for a company that I literally grew up admiring,” said Bethell. “I’m looking forward to creating great content, bringing fresh ideas and growing the business from my studios in LA.”

For Stevens (right), the move is a homecoming — he previously served as TM’s Senior Regional Sales Manager from 2002-2015, and now returns in an elevated role as VP, Affiliate Management. “This opportunity is more than a homecoming for me,” Stevens said. “It’s a new chapter for TM and our clients. With a new sales dynamic drawing from our deep talent pool of creative minds, I’m eager to push the pedal down to deliver the quality and level of service that is expected from TM Studios. A very special thanks to Greg Clancy, Kirk Stirland and Charles Steinhauer for this opportunity.”

Clancy commented, “Both of these guys truly understand the art of sung jingles and they know that jingles are the most effective branding tools on the radio. These moves ensure that programmers are given VIP treatment in their search for the perfect sounds for their stations. Our creatives will be involved in every step of the process.” Chris Stevens can now be reached at 972-406-6813 or cstevens@tmstudios.com; contact Dave Bethell at 424-359-9241 or dbethell@tmstudios.com.
