Bryan: ‘Check, 1-2-3, Check… Sibilance…’

Bryan LukeCountry superstar Luke Bryan became the first artist to break in the new live performance space at Cumulus Media’s New York City studios. On March 1, Bryan, who was in town to perform at Madison Square Garden right downstairs from 2 Penn Plaza, made an inaugural “drive by” appearance in the new space, which features a 188″ HD video wall, full-color LED ticker display and state-of-the-art audio equipment. The new venue will serve as a “warm up” and meet-and-greet venue for live concerts, artist interviews and other listener events before artists’ shows at Madison Square Garden.

Bryan was interviewed in the space by NASH FM personality Jesse Addy prior to his MSG sound check. Chad Lopez, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Media New York, said, “Everyone here at Cumulus New York was honored and thrilled to welcome Luke Bryan to NASH FM 94.7 as the first guest to play the drums right here in our live venue. As the excitement builds around our performance space, we look forward to all of the future top level artists that will be performing in our venue.”

NASH FM PD John Foxx commented, “Country in New York is something very special… You feel it in the music, in the streets, on the rails, and in the air. When it all aligns in one of the most magical and exciting places in the world, it’s electric! Country has a home in the heart of New York! Thank you, Country music — Everyone is welcome at New York’s NASH FM 94.7.”
