Katsoulis, Ryan In Motion
• We are pleased to report that Boston radio vet Keith Katsoulis has been named as the new Promotions Director of Cumulus Media’s group in scenic Worcester, MA — Hot AC WXLO, Classic Hits WWFX (100 FM The Pike) and Classic Country WORC (98.9 NASH Icon). In a Facebook post, Katsoulis said, “I’ll be involved in day-to-day growth of all three brands and super focused on growing our Social Media presence.”
As a special bonus to area radio listeners, Katsoulis, better known and loved as Keith Stephens, will also do afternoon drive on The Pike. Stephens famously spent 14 years doing nights on WKLB (Country 102.5)/Boston until March 2015, and he’s been doing part-time for Cumulus Worcester since that time. As OM Lance Ballance explains to RAMP, “Keith is the kind of guy who wish you had 10 of in the building — he’s street-smart, great on the air, and never one to shy away from an inappropriate Animal House quote at just the right time!”
• A career change is in the wind for JJ Ryan, MD/afternoon drive personality on Scripps Top 40 KQCH (Channel 94.1)/Omaha, who, after nearly seven years in the building announced he’s leaving radio — next week he makes the transition over to Ralston, NE-based Eleven Twenty Three, a.k.a. “a local advertising agency” as an Account Strategist.
