BUZ’N Rebrands As The Wolf
• UPDATED: After more than a week of teasing the market that change was coming, Entercom Country KMNB (BUZ’N @ 102.9)/Minneapolis has indeed changed — to 102.9 The Wolf. While the format remains the same, the Wolf welcomes market vet Greg Thunder to anchor The Wolf Wake Up Crew, joining existing hosts Paul “PT” Thomas and Mandy Travis as Mike Dubs moves back to nights. Concurrently, it was announced that Thomas would also host Home Town Country Sunday Night, Sundays from 8-9pm CT.
Thunder is a Minnesota native who most recently worked across the street at iHeartMedia Hot AC/Triple A hybrid KTCZ (Cities 97). His extensive resume also includes stops at KDWB and KSTP (KS95)/Minneapolis, Hot 97 and WPLJ/New York, KMPS/Seattle, KALC/Denver, KGOR/Omaha, KILT-FM (100.3 The Bull)/Houston and KSWD (94.1 The Sound)/Seattle.
“102.9 The Wolf will be the Twin Cities’ station for the biggest Country hits from then and now,” said Shannon Knoepke, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Minneapolis. “From today’s leading artists to all-time essential Country favorites, every song beats the pulse of Nashville all day, every day. We’re excited for our fans — ‘The Wolfpack’ — and clients to continue on this journey with us as we create a close-knit community of fans.”
The new Wolf weekday lineup is as follows — 5:30-9am: The Wolf Wake Up Crew; 9am-2pm: Fish; 2-6pm: PD Lucas Phelan; 6-10pm: Mike Dubs.
