Corey Changes His Career Preset
• We are sending our most sincere best wishes to a longtime friend, David Corey, who formally announced his decision to retire from radio. Corey had spent the past three years as co-host of The Marilyn Denis Show on CHUM/Toronto, alongside Canadian media legend Marilyn Denis, who retired at the end of June.
“I had an incredible 42 years where I never felt like I worked a day in my life,” Corey tells RAMP. “Kiss 108/Boston, CHUM-FM, WKLB/Boston, WDVD/Detroit, and then back to CHUM for the last three years. And then in my role as Vice President of Programming for Bell Media in Canada for 10 years, working with some of the very best radio stations in the world. Wow. I’m very grateful.”
Corey added, “I learned from — and worked with — some of the very best in the business — Steve Rivers, Sunny Joe White, John Ivey, Cadillac Jack, Chris Gordon, Dave Daigle, Tom Poleman, Matt Siegel, Billy Costa, Rob Farina, Roger Ashby, Marilyn Denis… and so many others along the way. But it’s time to move on and do something completely different, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.”
