Good Karma For White Sox
• ESPN Chicago and the Chicago White Sox jointly announced a multiyear agreement naming Good Karma Brands’ WMVP-AM (ESPN 1000)/Chicago as the team’s new radio flagship, including all regular season and postseason games, as well as select spring training games. White Sox games will air on ESPN 1000 beginning with the team’s first game of the 2021 Cactus League season, Saturday, February 27 vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.
“The White Sox are an extremely entertaining, talented baseball team with an incredibly bright future, and we’re thrilled to partner with them to bring the White Sox to ESPN 1000 fans,” said Mike Thomas, Market Manager of ESPN Chicago. “We’re dedicated to bringing the best content in Chicago sports to ESPN 1000, and having the Sox back on our airwaves just ensures that we’re making good on that promise.”
Brooks Boyer, White Sox Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer, commented, “White Sox baseball has found an incredible home with ESPN 1000. This is the beginning of a bright future with a radio partner whose brand resonates loudly with Chicago sports fans. As we prepare for an exciting season ahead on the field, we look forward to bringing White Sox baseball to our fans with a renowned sports station that shares the same passion for the game as we do.”
This marks the second time ESPN 1000 has been the White Sox radio flagship — ESPN 1000 was the exclusive radio partner of the White Sox from 1999-2005 with iconic radio personalities Ed Farmer and John Rooney in the booth.
