Innes Back In At Detroit’s WLLZ

The Josh Innes Show is making its triumphant return to mornings on iHeartMedia Classic Rock 106.7 WLLZ (Detroit’s Wheels/Detroit, starting Monday, July 28.

Company veteran Spencer Graves has been handling mornings on WLLZ remotely from Birmingham, where he manages to stay plenty busy anchoring mornings on iHeart Country cousins WDXB (102.5 The Bull)/Birmingham and 102.1 WDRM/Huntsville, AL.

Innes returns to the Motor City after his most recent gig — afternoons on Hubbard’s heritage Classic Rock KSHE95/St. Louis until last summer.

“Josh is the perfect morning host for WLLZ,” said Casey Krukowski, PD of 106.7 WLLZ. “His infectious energy, deep passion for rock music, and genuine connection with listeners make him a natural fit. I’m confident Detroit will embrace this show.”

Innes is already familiar with the WLLZ vibe, having earlier hosted mornings there remotely from 2021-2023 while he was doing mornings on iHeart Classic Rock sister WNRQ (105.9 The Rock)/Nashville. Innes earlier honed his craft on Sports-Talk radio via KFNC (ESPN 97.5 + 92.5) and KMBE (SportsTalk790)/Houston, and WIP/Philadelphia.

“I can’t wait to have some fun waking up Detroit every morning,” Innes said. “I look forward to being part of what’s going to be an amazing success story.”
