Join The College Radio Society

• The College Radio Foundation is launching The College Radio Society, a national organization uniting college radio students, alumni, and supporters. The new society’s mission “will be explicitly celebrating and promoting the rich, ongoing history of college radio, and seeks the involvement of the many generations of college radio alumni in the country.”

“We plan to have lots of events that will celebrate the important continuing legacy of college radio, including a podcast, zine and other (virtual and in-person) events if possible!” says Lori Quicke, Executive Director of the College Radio Foundation. “There’s lots of stories and history that we cannot afford to lose.”

Starting at $3 per month, members will be invited to share archival materials and memories and contribute to a growing online community in the newly created CRS Facebook Group.

Last month the College Radio Foundation organized the 12th annual World College Radio Day, which united over 700 college radio stations from 50+ countries. They also recently visited the White House and were welcomed by VP Kamala Harris. Quicke added, “Now into our 13th year, we want to bring together college radio alumni in the same way that we have united college radio stations for the good of the medium.” To learn more about the College Radio Foundation, contact Lori Quicke at lori@collegeradio.org or visit collegeradio.org.
