Kira Lew Leaving WOKQ/Portsmouth
Lew, who is expecting the couple’s second child, shared her news in a lengthy Instagram post, that reads, in part, “Not only would this career shiftaroo mean so much growth for my guy professionally and personally, it would bring us closer to our family/support system. This is something we’ve been longing for, especially as we anticipate the arrival of our new bestie this Winter.” Lew added, “After 9 years of waking up at the crack of dawn to yap to the fine people of New Hampshire on their morning commutes, this was not an easy decision to make.”
Lew joined WOKQ in Sept. 2016, earning the transfer from middays at AC sister WHOM/Portland, ME. She was initially teamed with Bill Fox, then Chio Acosta, and for the past three years with Logan Sherwood.
Townsquare has now kicked off the search for a worthy successor to Lew. The station is seeking “a morning show content superstar — a storyteller, a connector, a person who knows how to wake up a region with personality, purpose, and a little bit of sparkle.” Interested?
