Life Lessons Lead To Podcast
• Veteran Pacific Northwest air personality Dave Scott, best known and loved for his 14-year run as morning co-host on Alpha Media Triple A KINK/Portland, followed by a stint in afternoons at crosstown KGON, has been putting his years of radio experience (both positive and negative) to productive use for the benefit of others who have shared similar career paths.
“In looking back at my experience, my greatest lessons were born on the fire of big changes in my life (i.e. unemployment),” Scott tells RAMP. “Now, having the luxury of looking back, I can see the times in my life and career that I consider to be the ‘best’ were only made possible by the things I went through and the people I met, while traversing through the ‘bad’ times. My goal is to create a place where stories can be shared and perhaps commonalities discovered in all our journeys.”
To that end, Scott has launched a podcast aptly named Embrace the Change, and in his most recent episode, he catches up with Lisa Adams, who was recently downsized as PD of Hubbard Radio Country KNUC (98.9 The Bull)/Seattle. Scott says, “Lisa is now laying the ground work for her next challenge with as much positivity as she can muster. She’s an inspiring lady and her attitude is infectious. I know there is air talent out there that may still be reeling from recent changes and looking for a good place to land, and Lisa has a ton of great advice.” Lisa’s episode is posted at davescottnow.com.
