Sluggo Named APD/MD of KLOS/L.A.
• We cleverly hinted at this yesterday, and now, Meruelo Media makes it official and announces Doug “Sluggo” Roberts as the new APD/MD of “Southern California’s Classic Rock” 95.5 KLOS/Los Angeles.
Sluggo crosses the street from Entercom Los Angeles, where he spent more than a decade both on and off-air in key programming roles for The World Famous KROQ and Adult Hits KCBS-FM (93.1 Jack FM). Some of Roberts’ creativity was heard though his creative copywriting for the voice of “Jack.” Sluggo said, “I love Los Angeles and KLOS is such an integral part of SoCal music history. I’m so excited to be here.”
Sluggo reports to KLOS PD Keith Cunningham, who commented, “Doug brings a wealth of programming experience and a unique perspective that will be tremendous assets to KLOS and the entire Meruelo Media family.” KLOS will relocate to Meruelo Media’s Burbank broadcast complex in late September.
