Boogie D Exits Radio One

RAMP has confirmed that Radio One programming fixture Jowcol “Boogie D” Dolby has exited his post as OM of Urban WGPR (Hot 107.5) and Urban AC WDMK (105.9 Kiss FM)/Detroit. You may recall that Boogie spent seven years as OM of Radio One Urban AC WFUN (95.5 The Lou) and Urban WHHL (Hot 104.1)/St. Louis, and in January 2018, was awarded matching responsibilities for Detroit. In April 2018 he relocated to the Motor City to focus solely on Detroit.

Boogie’s lengthy career with Radio One includes two stints as OM/PD of WHHL and WFUN/St. Louis, with a two-year stretch as PD of Urban WPHI (100.3 The Beat)/Philadelphia sandwiched in between. His previous programming experience includes Radio One’s WCHH [now WQNC]/Charlotte and a stretch as MD at WPGC/Washington back in the day.

We understand the position will be posted soon on the Urban One Careers site, followed by the first round of interviews.
