Live Audience For ‘Live Day’

• Entercom’s 99.9 KISW (The Rock of Seattle) will stage its third annual “Live Day” broadcast event by upping the ante for this groundbreaking and complex production — by taking it out of the relative safety and comfort of the radio station and out into a public venue, staging two shows in front of a live audience. During “Live Day,” both the BJ & Migs morning show and The Mens Room afternoon drive show will perform all elements completely live. This means nothing is pre-recorded for the show, including all commercials, sound effects and music. This year’s “Live Day” event will feature a cast of local musicians, Foley artists and comedians, along with the station’s cast.

“Doing two full shows completely live clearly wasn’t enough of a challenge for KISW,” said Dave Richards, VP of Programming and Operations, Entercom Seattle, tongue firmly lodged in one of his cheeks. “This year, we’ll take ‘Live Day’ to a full stage production in front of a live audience.”

The big event is scheduled for Thursday, November 16 starting at 6am at the I-5 Tacoma Showroom inside the Emerald Queen Casino in scenic Tacoma, WA. Tickets are available now at kisw.com — General admission tickets are just $35 and will give fans access to watch both BJ & Migs and The Mens Room live. A select number of Premium Experience tickets are $99.99 and gets you the best seats in the house, breakfast and lunch buffet, “Live Day” giveaways, and access to the “Live Day Halftime Show,” which will feature podcast tapings, live music and other entertainment.
