Match Made In Hop Heaven
Entercom Classic Rock WCMF/Rochester, NY is proud to unveil a new India Pale Ale in a trademark license agreement with CB Craft Brewers. The beer, lovingly dubbed “Bitch Voice IPA,” will be available in select bars and restaurants throughout the Rochester area this month. In addition, special tasting events hosted by WCMF’s morning show, The Break Room will take place at local sports bars on Buffalo Bills game days.
“The beer creation started as an inspired topic during the station’s morning show,” said PD Michael “Mud” Gross. “The Break Room hosts, Tommy, Duffy and Kimmy thought it would be great to have a WCMF-branded beer and listeners were thrilled with the idea. CB Craft Brewers responded with the offer to brew a beer and share the trademark with us.”
Last month, as part of CB Craft Brewers’ 20th anniversary celebration, a tasting party was held where listeners helped select the final beer flavor — an India Pale Ale. Following the flavor selection, WCMF’s intelligent, attractive and well-read listeners suggested a unique beer name, inspired by the-most-talked-about fan feature of The Break Room — and “Bitch Voice IPA” was born. “WCMF’s listeners preferred the malt-forward-yet hoppy taste of a well-balanced IPA,” said Derek Armstrong, CB Craft Brewers’ Head Brewer. “I know that this style will appeal to craft brew lovers, but it is also very accessible to anyone who enjoys a great beer.”
