Meanwhile, Back In ‘The Burgh…’

In a staff memo, Mark Anderson, VP of Programming for CBS Radio Pittsburgh remarked of D’Amico’s new opportunity, “It’s an amazing career advancement and personal growth opportunity for John, which directly stems from the great things that he has done over his 10 years with CBS Radio Pittsburgh and in serving, most recently, as Station Promotion Manager of WBZZ (100.7 Star) and Country WDSY (Y108).” He continued, “Every great manager leaves successful people in their wake, and John has mentored, trained, and encouraged so many individuals who will become our cluster’s leaders of tomorrow; for that, and all of his contributions to our enterprise, we thank him.”

But wait! There’s more! Anderson added, “John’s departure gives us the opportunity to realign our cluster Promotions Department as follows: Celeste Donatucci (left) — currently Station Promotion Manager for KDKA-AM (NewsRadio 1020) and Sports-Talk KDKA-FM (93-7 The Fan) — will become Station Promotion Manager for 100.7 Star, and will also work with Jeff Oravitz as our cluster Social Media Specialist.

Amanda Silay (center, currently Promotion Assistant for Events) will become Station Promotion Manager for KDKA-AM & FM, and Michelle Benincasa (right, currently Promotion Assistant for WBZZ & WDSY) will become Station Promotion Manager for Y108. Ron Molinero will continue to helm broadcasts as our Cluster Events Manager, and we will soon post a position for a full-time Promotion Assistant working with Ron in Events. Please join me in congratulating John, Celeste, Amanda and Michelle!”
