Meghan Moves Into Middays At Mix/Raleigh

• Capitol Broadcasting AC WRAL (Mix 101.5)/Raleigh has filled its midday vacancy with a familiar name and face — local media personality and influencer Meghan Lamontagne. She succeeds Diane Ramsey, who recently retired after a remarkable 26-year run.

Lamontagne is a local media fixture, serving as the in-arena host for the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, Nat’l Women’s Soccer League franchise North Carolina Courage, and the North Carolina Football Club. She most recently worked across the street at iHeartMedia Top 40 WDCG (G105) as Danny Meyers‘ morning co-host until April 2023, when she and Meyers exited during a round of corporate downsizing.

Rather than issue your standard, boring press release full of lame quotes, WRAL instead welcomed Meghan to the family by producing a clever, “Mean Girls”-inspired launch video, featuring award-worthy appearances by PD Chris Edge, Kyle, Bryan & Sarah from MIX Mornings, APD/afternoon talent Jim Kelly, Imaging/night jock Doug Miller, and Director of Digital Content Ashley Pearson.
