Merry March Christmas!

• We are not living in normal times… perhaps you’ve realized that… to help its listeners recapture just a bit of that normalcy, Bonneville AC KOSI 101.1, Denver’s official Christmas Music Station is bringing back Christmas music Friday morning from 6-10am on the Jenny & Jay Morning Show. And you’ll agree there’s a desperate need for some cheer these days, as morning co-host Jenny D, said, “We’ve had a lot of listeners contact us saying they are stressed with all that is going on and asking if we could play some Christmas music just for a bit to calm us down.” Co-host Jay Cruze added, “We have also had calls from people who are putting their Christmas lights back up, so we felt, let’s do our part since nothing lifts spirits like Christmas music.”

Tune in Friday morning to enjoy classic holiday songs from Andy Williams, Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra as well as contemporary holiday hits from Josh Groban, Maria CareyMichael Bublé, etc.

• SummitMedia Omaha is also bringing the Christmas spirit a little early — AC KSRZ (Star 104.5) is kicking off the weekend with an all-request pop-up lunch Christmas edition. And then, Friday through Sunday from 7-midnight, it’s nothing but Christmas music, to bring a little cheer.

Star 104.5 PD Kurt Owens commented, “We may not have toilet paper or hand sanitizer, but one thing Star 104.5 has is library full of Christmas music. Everyone can do something and we hope playing Christmas music will help ease some of the stress and maybe even help Omaha kids smile a little.”

• Across the hall, Top 40 sister KQCH (Channel 94.1) is bringing you the perfect workout playlist weekdays at noon with a new feature called “Cardio Radio.”

Operations Manager Matt Derricksaid, “Life is disrupted right now and gyms are shut down, and a lot of our listeners are stuck at home, so we’re mixing the perfect playlist every day at noon to help Channel 94.1 listeners work out, get up and move or just have a little more energy to make the day go faster. We’ve also partnered with local fitness experts to provide simple routines for adults and kids to pair with the daily ‘Cardio Radio’ mix.”
