Miami’s DJ Laz & Kimmy B Reunited
• iHeartMedia’s WMIA (93.9 MIA, ’90’s to Now)/Miami is thrilled as hell to announce the joyful reunion of market vets DJ Laz and Kimmy B, and the launch of… wait for it… The DJ Laz Morning Show with Kimmy B.
“We’re excited to bring Miami’s beloved duo, DJ Laz and Kimmy B, back together,” said Rob Miller, SVP of Programming for iHeart Miami. “With their infectious personalities and deep investment in our local communities, The DJ Laz Morning Show with Kimmy B on 93.9 MIA will quickly become a favorite destination for South Floridians.”
Kimmy B crosses the street to iHeartMedia after an eight-year run with Cox Media Group Top 40 WFLC (HITS 97.3), most recently anchoring the morning show. Laz and Kimmy famously co-hosted the HITS 97.3 morning show together until late 2016, when Kimmy moved to afternoons.
“Kimmy B is Miami,” said DJ Laz. “Kimmy B’s all about the community, our listeners, and we’re ready to deliver some great morning radio.” Kimmy commented, “I’m super excited to be back on-air co-hosting a morning show with the legendary DJ Laz. But Wait! There’s More! 93.9 MIA will continue to be the home of the greatest hits of the ’90s while expanding its music library to include the top artists of the past two decades, and three hours of commercial-free music beginning weekdays at 9:30am.
