Mix 94.9/Cincy Trades ‘Toys For Tunes’
• Hubbard Radio AC WREW (Mix 94.9)/Cincinnati is happily shredding the music logs tomorrow and will be installing its revolutionary “Toys for Tunes” format, specially formulated to provide every child spending the holidays at Cincinnati Children’s with a new toy. Here’s how it works: Wednesday, December 4 from 6am until 7pm, listeners can call 513-749-5309 and for a $20 donation make a song request. Could be any song. If they’d like to “cut to the front of the line” and have their song to play next, well, that’ll cost you a $100 donation.
Local business owners and individuals can get involved by buying up an entire hour of song requests for a cool $1,000 donation. Making this event even merrier, Messer Construction will match every donation up to a total of $100,000, dramatically doubling the impact for kids at Cincinnati Children’s.
Mix 94.9 personalities Holly, Shannon, Ray, Bud and Director of Branding & Content Jay Kruz will stay on the air for 13 hours with access to thousands of random songs to play for you, and staffers from Cincinnati Children’s will be manning the phones throughout the day taking donations, all of which will benefit Cincinnati Children’s Child Life Program.
