MIXfm/Tucson Wake Up With Nikki & Mike

• Arizona Lotus AC KMXZ (94.9 MIXfm)/Tucson is pleased to announce the debut of its new morning team: meet Mike Rapp and Nikki West, the new hosts of The 94.9 MIXfm Morning Show with Nikki & Mike, weekdays from 6-9am – plus one hour of non-stop MIXfm Music starting at 8:30am. That prime shift has been without a permanent solution since the late May departure of Greg Curtis & Meredith “Mere” Dunkel.

Rapp is already a familiar voice to Mix listeners, having previously served as morning news anchor/weekend air talent. His lengthy Tucson radio resume includes stops at KHYT, KIIM, KQHT, KUAT, KNST and Lotus Classic Rock sister KLPX. The Tucson-born West started her radio career at KFAT/Anchorage, AK, and subsequently worked at KFAD/Klamath Falls, OR, and spent a decade co-hosting mornings on Alpha Media’sKBFF (Live 95.5)/Portland, OR. She most recently worked at Country KAWO/Boise, ID.

Rapp said, “I’ve been waking up this city for a long time, and I’m excited for this new opportunity with Nikki. It’s going to be a lot of fun! She’s bright, up, funny and real. Tucson’s gonna love the new show.” West remarked, “I have loved every minute of my 15-year radio broadcasting journey in Alaska, Oregon and Idaho. However, there is something extra special about sharing my stories and love for community in my hometown and the greater Tucson area with family and longtime friends coming along for the ride. Mike Rapp and I have fun every morning and the Lotus Tucson group is fantastic. I look forward to many positive years entertaining and contributing on 94.9 MIXfm.”
