New Home Sweet Home For Griffin Tulsa

• At last — all of Griffin Communications’ Tulsa media properties are now residing under one beautiful roof, as the company’s five radio stations, which were purchased from Scripps in 2018, have officially moved into the Griffin Communications Media Center, a 57,000 square-foot broadcast facility at 303 N. Boston Ave. in Tulsa’s fashionable Arts District, which boasts a state-of-the-art high definition news studio and green technology, including 32 geothermal wells that reduce the site’s environmental impact.

The stations — Talk KFAQ 1170 AM, Top 40 KHTT (106.9 K-Hits), Country 98.5 KVOO, Classic Country KXBL (Big Country 99.5) and Classic Hits KBEZ (The Drive 92.9) — are now in the same building as News On 6Tulsa CW and other Tulsa-based Griffin properties.

“We are very excited to bring these stations home,” said David Griffin, Chairman & CEO of Griffin Communications. “Combining radio with our TV stations, billboards, websites and digital products deepens our commitment to the Tulsa market and provides an unmatched footprint. Additionally, it provides these radio stations with new state of the art studios and synergy opportunities so that they can continue to serve Green Country with exceptional content and broadcasting capabilities.”

Steve Hunter, Director of Radio Operations & Programming tells RAMP, “This is the most beautiful radio studio I have ever had the privilege to work in. The staff is energized and excited to be in this state-of-the-art radio and TV broadcast facility.”
