James Nathan 2017• Stand by for the official quote-laden release, but RAMP has confirmed that Nathan James has been appointed as the new Director of Marketing for iHeartMedia Philadelphia. James earns the transfer back to his hometown from Raleigh, where he is currently Director of Integrated Media for the company’s Virginia-Carolina Region.

James remarked, “I’m honored to remain within our Northeast Region and take on this new challenge and lead our successful and heritage brands in Philadelphia for years to come. I can’t thank Brian Check, Market President Rich Lewis and EVPP Thea Mitchem for affording me this opportunity. It’s been fun and rewarding to handle Raleigh since 2015 with Region President Dave Carwile, SVPP Chris Edge, EVPP Meg Stevens and RVPP Jeff Wyatt.”

 

Whistler Cody 2017• Entercom Alternative KNDD (107.7 The End)/Seattle keeps it firmly in the family to fill its prime 7-midnight vacancy — PD Leslie Scott points to the bullpen and gives Cody Whistler the big nod. Whistler joined The End promotion team over ten years ago and added a swing/fill-in role three years ago. “Anyone who meets Cody can’t help but smile,” said Scott. “He’s funny, creative and passionate about The End. Seattle is in for a treat each night.”

Whistler commented, “I was 19 when I started working for Entercom as a Modulator, so you could say I grew up with The End. I’ve been on weekends and filling in for almost three years now and am so excited and thankful to get this opportunity.” Whistler succeeds Zach Van Lue, also a noted club DJ, who left the station in January after three years to pursue other interests outside of the Seattle market.

 

Tyler SLC 2017 Jason “Tyler” Leucht has arrived in Salt Lake City as the new afternoon drive personality on iHeartMedia Hot AC KJMY (My 99.5). Tyler transitions from Panama City, FL, where he most recently did afternoons on Magic Broadcasting Top 40 WILN (Island 106) until last November. Before that he did nights and weekends at Powell Broadcasting rival WPFM (Hot 107.9)RAMP caught up with SVP of Programming Jeff Cochran, who said of Tyler, “He’s the last piece of the puzzle and now our lineup is complete on My 99.5 — Brooke & Jubal in the morning, Jackie Cunningham (former KBKS/Seattle morning star) in middays, Tyler in pm drive and Heather Maack at night. I can’t wait to hear these guys tear up Salt Lake City!”

An elated Tyler told RAMP, “Jeff Cochran was crazy enough to give me a shot and I couldn’t be more thankful. The Salt Lake crew is amazing and I’m so happy to be part of it! Hopefully the listeners will feel the same way!”
