Radio Mercury Names Chief Judge

Robin Fitzgerald, Chief Creative Officer at BBDO Atlanta, has been named as the 2020 Chief Judge for the 29th annual Radio Mercury Awards. In the three years since her appointment, BBDO Atlanta’s creative reputation has grown along with its trophy case — including five Cannes Lions in 2019 for its work on behalf of Street Grace. Prior to BBDO Atlanta, Fitzgerald spent 15 years in Los Angeles, working at Crispin Porter + Bogusky and TBWAChiatDay. She has been named one of Business Insider‘s “Most Creative People in Social Media Marketing” and “Most Creative Women in Advertising.”

“I’ve always loved radio. To me, it’s one of the most challenging platforms for creatives,” Fitzgerald noted. “The Radio Mercury Awards are a champion of great ideas delivered in stereo. It’s a pretty cool gig to be leading the charge on curating the best of the best for 2020.”

Erica Farber, President & CEO of the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and Chair of the Radio Creative Fund, commented, “Robin truly has a passion and a love for the audio medium, and we are fortunate to have her serve as the 2020 Radio Mercury Awards Chief Judge. She has an impressive track record in the creative community and will bring her deep appreciation for the radio craft and how it can deliver for brands and listeners alike.”

Award categories for the 2020 Radio Mercury Awards will be announced in late December, along with Call for Entry guidelines and deadlines.
