Santoro’s Upgrade A National Event
• We want to send our belated congratulations to Shaileen Santoro, longtime VP of Marketing for iHeartMedia Boston and National Event Brand Manager for the company’s National Programming Group (NPG), who was recently promoted to Vice President of Live Entertainment and Events. Santoro, pictured here with her beloved Miss Mavis (left) and Miss Lola (right), officially assumed her new role on April 1.
The news was initially broken by Santoro’s boss and mentor, Dennis O’Heron, SVP of Live Entertainment and Events for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group, who said, “I’m excited to share that Shaileen Santoro has been named our new Vice President of Live Entertainment and Events.” He added, “Many of you know Shaileen and have worked closely with her — she’s been a member of the National Programming Group team since its inception and celebrated 25 years with iHeartMedia on May 15.”
In a staff email, O’Heron said, in part, “Shaileen started as my intern at [WJMN] JAM’N 94.5/Boston in 1994 and I’ve watched her become one of the most respected professionals in the industry… furthermore, Shaileen has worked on every iHeartRadio Music Festival — she was the Event Manager for the first-ever iHeartRadio Music Festival Daytime Stage — and has been at most of our tent pole events.”
In conclusion, O’Heron said, “Needless to say, I’m thrilled that Shaileen’s joining NPG and the Events team on a full-time basis. As with all members of the Events team, she’ll be working on all aspects of our live events. Her other responsibilities will include managing our VIP Experiences, developing new opportunities for sponsorship revenue and working with our local markets to maximize involvement in our tent poles.” Your best wishes can be shared with Shaileen at ShaileenSantoro@iHeartMedia.com.
