WJBR Rebrands As ‘New Mix 99’

• Beasley Media Group AC WJBR/Wilmington, DE has rebranded as The New Mix 99. Playing “one great song after another,” the station’s new line-up is highlighted by the launch of Michael and Jessie In The Morning, featuring the welcome return of WJBR’s former VP of Operations Michael Waite, who will team up with Jessie Micchelli, weekday mornings from 5:30-9am. Waite notably spent 17 years with WJBR until January 2011, when he hung up his headphones… allegedly… and took a job outside of radio.

Waite said, “After seven years of being away from radio, I look forward to returning to entertaining our incredible listeners and working with Jessie.” Micchelli said, “I’m beyond thrilled to have Michael Waite as a morning partner and to be spending each morning with the Delaware Valley.”

PD Rich DeSisto will drive you home from 3p-7pm, followed by the syndicated Delilah Sunday through Fright from 7-midnight. “It’s an exciting time for the heritage of WJBR as we continue to build on and evolve that brand,” said DeSisto, who was named PD in November, transferring from the APD/afternoon spot at Beasley Adult Hits WBEN (95.7 BEN FM)/Philadelphia
