Townsquare VP Upgrade For Gagliardi

• We initially reported this news last week, and Townsquare now makes it official with the formal announcement that Sam “Elliot” Gagliardi has been named Vice President of Content for both the Monmouth-Ocean and Trenton-Princeton, NJ groups. Gagliardi most recently served as Director of Content for the Monmouth-Ocean market and now annexes Trenton-Princeton, with oversight of all brands in the two markets, which include heritage Top 40 WPST, Hot AC WJLK (94.3 The Point), AC 92.7 WOBM, Classic Rock WCHR (105.7 The Hawk), and Townsquare’s flagship station, News-Talk WKXW (New Jersey 101.5), to name a few.

“In his short time with the company, Sam has proven to be an effective leader who quickly improved performance and culture at the Jersey Shore,” said Brian Lang, Townsquare RVP. “We expect Sam will have a similar impact in Trenton-Princeton.”

Gagliardi has more than 20 years of media management experience, most of that time spent in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market, where he served as SVP of Programming & Operations for Northern Lights Broadcasting and its successor, Go Media, where he rose to President & COO, with oversight of Alternative KQGO (Go 96.3) and Hip Hop KZGO (Go 95.3).

“I sincerely thank the leadership at Townsquare — Bill Wilson, Erik Hellum, Jared Willig, and Brian Lang — for this incredible opportunity,” Gagliardi said. “Collaborating with the skilled professionals at the iconic brands of New Jersey 101.5 and PST presents an amazing opportunity. I’m excited about working with such a highly talented group and look forward to engaging in collaborative efforts with the fantastic on-air and online creators at the Jersey Shore.”
