So Long, Live 105; Hello ALT 105.3
• After an illustrious three-decade run as “Live 105,” Entercom Alternative KITS/San Francisco underwent a holiday rebranding to The New ALT 105.3. The changeover happened on Friday, Dec. 22. As a result of the move, PD Jacent Jackson exits as his position is eliminated. He has been replaced by Michael Martin, who programmed the station prior to Jackson joining the station in May 2014. Martin retains his corporate responsibilities as Entercom SVP of Programming and Music Initiatives and Alternative Format Captain, as well as his existing role as PD of Hot AC clusterbuddy KLLC (Alice @ 97.9).
Before landing in San Francisco 3 1/2 years ago, Jackson spent eight years as PD of Milwaukee Radio Alliance Alternative WLUM (FM 102/1)/Milwaukee. Prior to joining WLUM in May of 2006, Jackson was APD/MD at the former WKQX (Q101)/Chicago, and he has experience in consulting and programming streaming audio.
