Summers To Voice ACM Awards

• Sending our best wishes to Brooke Summers, afternoon personality on NRG Media Country KFGE (Froggy 98)/Lincoln, NE, who is about to step up onto a much, much larger stage — she’s been named as the official voiceover announcer for the upcoming 57th Academy of Country Music Awards, streaming live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Monday, March 7. The two-hour show, hosted by global icon Dolly Parton, will be the first major awards show to livestream exclusively on Prime Video in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Summers joined NRG Media/Broadcast House Media in Lincoln, NE last October after a 16-year run at Forever Communications’ Top 40 107.1 WUHU/Bowling Green, KY. In addition to anchoring afternoons on KFGE, Summers also co-hosts Brooke & Bic Mornings across the hall on AC sister KBBK (B107.3).

And while relatively new to Country radio, Summers is already making some waves in the format — in addition to her amazing ACM Awards V/O gig, she was recently nominated as Country Aircheck‘s “New Face of Country Music.”

Summers exclaimed, “I’m still so mind-blown over this whole experience, and incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I may faint if Dolly looks at me. True story!” Summers’ boss, NRG Lincoln OM/PD Steve Kingshares in her excitement, commenting, “We are all over the moon excited for Brooke! She embodies what hard work and natural ability can do. I can think of very few people who deserve the recognition and opportunities that Brooke is receiving, and we are blessed that she is on our team.”
