Syracuse Awarded Its Own Baldwin

• Galaxy Communications’ Sports-Talk simulcast WTLA/WSGO (ESPN 97.7/100.1)/Syracuse, NY has secured the services of an actual “Baldwin” to construct a new local sports-talk show around — yes, actor/sports fan Daniel Baldwin has been hosting the cleverly named The Daniel Baldwin Show for the past two weeks in its regular time slot — weekdays from 3-4pm.

Ed Levine, CEO of Galaxy Communications remarked, “The Daniel Baldwin Show does not fit into the typical sports show mold. Although Daniel knows every bit of his X’s and O’s, he will weave stories in around the scores. The show has a spontaneous and fun feel. Think of it as intermission to your day of sports talk.”

Baldwin, who lives in the area, is joined in-studio by co-host Josh Grosvent, who also anchors The Show weekday mornings on Active Rock siblings WKRL/WKLL (K-Rock). Baldwin remarked, “Alec. Billy. Stephen. Who? Welcome to The Daniel Baldwin Show!” Grosvent aptly added, “This is an opportunity too weird to pass up.”
