The Christmas Parade Begins…
• It looks like Youngstown, OH is leading the 2019 Christmas Flip Parade™, as Cumulus Oldies WWIZ (Z104) magically morphed into… wait for it… Christmas 104, “The Valley’s Christmas Station, debuted today at noon with Bing Crosby‘s Christmas classic, “White Christmas.” And yes, the holiday format will run through the end of the year, or Dec. 31, whichever comes first.
Moments after the Christmas switch was thrown, Bill Kelly, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Youngstown, said, “With everything going on in the Mahoning Valley and in the world these days, we felt we could all use a little more Christmas right now. Playing Christmas music this early in the season will get our listeners in the Valley into the holiday spirit even more this year!”
