Who Ordered The Irish Wake-Up Call?
Strictly adhering to many local, state and federal regulations, the Karlson & McKenzie morning show on CBS Radio Classic Rock WZLX/Boston celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in its usual style — forcing hundreds of thirsty listeners to assemble, against their will, for the annual wearin’ o’ the green at the K+M Show’s big St. Patrick’s Day live broadcast at the Brook Kitchen & Tap in beautiful downtown Holbrook, MA.
Everyone in attendance enjoyed a free breakfast and live entertainment from the Irish band Yoke Shire (get it?), plus everyone had the chance to “win the green” — we’re talking $500 in cash to the listener who correctly predicted who on the morning show team — Kevin, Pete or Heather were wearing green underwear. Other prizes included limited-edition Karlson and McKenzie green t-shirts, tickets to see Green Day, tickets to see a Boston Celtics game from the Karlson and McKenzie suite and a $100 gift card to the Brook Tap.
