WPGC Launches ‘Good Morning Show’

• Audacy announced the impending launch of The Good Morning Show on WPGC/Washington, starting Feb. 22.

The newly assembled cast includes WPGC personality Todd B. alongside multimedia personality Monique Samuels, comedian Jason Weems, Executive Producer/entertainment reporter D. Carter and WPGC News Director Guy Lambert.

Todd B. most recently filled in on mornings and hosted WPGC’s throwback show, Reminisce Radio. Samuels is a cast member on OWN’s Love & Marriage: DC and a former star on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Potomac. She’s also an entrepreneur, speaker, multimedia personality, writer, music artist and philanthropist.

Baltimore native Weems is a veteran stand-up comedian, radio host and actor who has appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, among other credits. His latest comedy special, Jason Weems: Unknown was released on Amazon Prime Video in 2020. D. Carter established a music industry career while living in Los Angeles for eight years, starting as an A&R assistant at Atlantic Records. She joined WPGC four years ago as a street teamer worked her way up to part-time and producer on The Home Team With DJ Flexx in afternoon drive.

Guy Lambert’s other DC credits include The Donnie Simpson Show, The Big Tigger Show and the Funky Larry Jones Morning Show. He’s also a correspondent on WTTG (Fox 5)‘s Like It or Not, and has also served as an event host, emcee and entertainment correspondent nationwide.

“We are excited about the launch of the Good Morning Show on WPGC,” said Ivy Savoy-Smith, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Washington. “This eclectic group of individuals is sure to keep the DMV engaged and entertained in the mornings.” Pictured, (l-r): Jason Weems, Monique Samuels, Todd B, D.
