Wake Up & Change The Station
Machado (right) will plug in next to his new co-host Sara Perry (left), who joins the CBS Radio family after 15 years over on Midwest Television’s Variety Rock KFM-BFM, most recently in middays. Machado himself is a longtime San Diego radio vet, having previously spent three years in mornings on iHeartMedia Hot AC KMYI (Star 94.1), preceded by nearly a decade in mornings on iHeart sister KHTS (Channel 933).
Completing the new wake-up team on the new AJ Mornings will be another familiar face — producer Hula Ramos, the former Executive Producer of The AJ Show on Energy, and Machado’s former Star 94.1 co-host. Ramos was one of several CBS Radio staffers downsized earlier this year, and since then has been working part-time over at Entercom Country KSON. AJ Mornings succeeds Jeff & The Showgram, which exited the station in late June.
