2 Guys Named Chris Minus 1

• The end of an era is fast approaching for loyal listeners of DBC Classic Rock WKRR (Rock 92)/Greensboro, as Chris Demm, longtime co-host of the syndicated 2 Guys Named Chris morning show announced his impending retirement, effective in late March.

An emotional Chris Kelly, who has been partnered with Demm since the show launched on January 4, 1999, introduced Demm to make his bittersweet announcement on Tuesday morning, as the duo’s loyal producer “Biggie” sadly looked on.

“I’m walking away from the best job I could have ever imagined,” Demm said. “And I’m leaving behind a partner who’s been beside me for 27 years… that’s a lifetime. Make no mistake, this team, lead by Chris Kelly, will continue to deliver the most unique blend of humor, and real-life experiences, anywhere on the radio dial. Period. It’s not a decision I made lightly or without deep reflection… but it is the proper time to exit.”

Demm added, “I could have done this show forever, honestly, but radio is a business, and things don’t always work out the way you want them to.” Watch Demm’s complete announcement posted HERE.
