Adams Trades Omaha For West Palm
• Hubbard Radio announced that David Adams is joining the company’s West Palm Beach cluster as the new Brand & Content Manager of Hot AC 97.9 WRMF and Top 40 Party 96.3 (WRMF-HD4), starting April 22. He will succeed Randi West, who recently stepped down after four years to focus on her family.
Adams has spent the past 3 1/2 years with NRG Media Omaha as Operations Manager for the seven-station group and PD of Hot AC KQKQ (Sweet 98.5), Rhythmic KOPW (Power 106.9), and Adult Hits KOOO (101.9 The Keg). Prior to joining NRG, Adams served as SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Tucson. Before that he programmed iHeartMedia’s KLOU/St. Louis and WRNW & WRIT/Milwaukee, and earlier in his career spent five years as PD of Townsquare Media’s WBNQ/Bloomington, IL.
Bruce Logan, Operations Manager of Hubbard West Palm, remarked, “WRMF is an iconic brand, and David is the right person to lead us into the future. David’s energy is contagious, and we are so excited to have him join us. KVJ, Danny & Meghan and the rest of our team will continue to be in great hands. We are sure David will continue building on the success and heritage of the mighty 97.9 WRMF.”
Commenting on his upcoming adventure, Adams said, “Humbled, honored, grateful… those are just a few of the words I would use to describe how I feel about being named the Brand & Content Manager for WRMF. I’m so excited to be working with the KVJ Show, Danny & Meghan, and all the extremely talented people at Hubbard South Florida. Thank you to Elizabeth Hamma, Bruce Logan, and Greg Strassell for entrusting me with this iconic brand!”
