Alabama Show Brand Extension… In Alabama

• Sending our best wishes to Ms. Alabama Cole and DJ New Era, hosts of  The Alabama Show on iHeartMedia Top 40 WQEN (103.7 the Q)/Birmingham, AL, whose broadcast footprint now extends outward in Alabama’s namesake state to Top 40 siblings WZBQ (94.1 ZBQ)/Tuscaloosa and 106.5 KISS FM (WQRV-HD2)/Huntsville, where The Alabama Show is now airing in morning drive. We are told that the new show will feature interactive topics, listener games, plus a unique perspective on pop culture and local events.

As her name implies, Alabama is a homegrown talent from Birmingham, who returned to her hometown in July 2021 after a stint as a morning show cast member at Top 40 sister KBKS (HITS 106.1)/Seattle. Alabama previously did afternoons, and later, mornings at former iHeartMedia Country WEBG (Big 95.5)/Chicago. Her earlier stops include WNOH/Norfolk, WDZH/Detroit, WJIM/Lansing and WHTS/Grand Rapids, MI and KSXE & KFRR/Fresno. She is also a successful podcaster, author, and public speaker. DJ New Era has become an elite DJ with residencies in Atlanta, New York, and Las Vegas.

“Both Alabama and DJ New Era have worked incredibly hard to prepare for this opportunity,” said Dino Conard, PD of iHeart’s Alabama Community Markets. “I couldn’t be more excited for these two and what we’re building in Alabama!”
