Amanda Jo Now APD/MD, AM Co-Host, WWYZ
• iHeartMedia’s WWYZ (Country 92-5)/Hartford keeps it firmly in the family and elevates midday personality Amanda Jo to APD/MD and co-host of the Country 92-5 Morning Show alongside Damon Scott, effective August 15. “Amanda Jo has performed well on the station in middays and we’re looking forward to having her join Damon in the mornings, as she continues to contribute to the station’s success,” said Steve Honeycomb, Market President for iHeartMedia Connecticut.
Amanda Jo reports to Joey Brooks, SVP of Programming at iHeartMedia Connecticut, who noted, “Amanda Jo brings a great energy to Country 92-5 in middays and at our station events. To sum it up, her knowledge of Country radio, and the way she connects to listeners on the air, online and at events make her the perfect fit for the role.”
In addition to her newly enhanced duties on WWYZ, Amanda Jo will retain her other existing roles as APD/MD/middays on sister WBWL (101.7 The Bull)/Boston and afternoons on WRNX (Kix 100.9)/Springfield, MA.
• Amanda Jo succeeds longtime WWYZ MD/morning co-host Cory Myers, who exits after 28 years.
