Anthony Tackles The Buzzard, Jumps In The Lake
• iHeartMedia has called upon Rob Anthony, longtime SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Providence to take on the challenge moving to Cleveland to program legendary Active Rock 100.7 WMMS and Adult Hits WHLK (106.5 The Lake). He will succeed Jason Carr, who is returning to South Florida as the newly anointed SVP of Programming for the company’s 11-station group serving West Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast.
In addition to his current SVPP role, overseeing WHJY, WSNE, WWBB, and WHJJ/Providence, Anthony also serves as Executive Director of iHeart’s Classic Rock Format Center. Prior to his Providence gig, Anthony was RVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s clusters in Springfield, Worcester, and Cape Cod, MA, as well as Portsmouth and Manchester, NH.
Upon his arrival in Cleveland, Anthony will report to Keith Kennedy, Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Cleveland, who remarked, “It’s incredible to add Rob’s knowledge and experience to our cluster. Rob has programmed some incredible stations over his career, and we know that the legendary Buzzard and The Lake will be in great hands.”
Weighing in on his big impending move to Cleveland, Anthony commented, “I want to thank the leadership team at iHeartMedia for giving me such an amazing opportunity to program these two amazing stations… I mean, WMMS…. It’s tough to think of a more legendary station! I can’t wait to get to work.”
