Arriens & Entercom Renew Vows
• Entercom and Darrin Arriens have mutually agreed to a multi-year contract extension that will keep him very busy as Director of Operations for the company’s Charlotte group — News-Talk WBT-AM/FM, Hot AC WLNK (107.9 The Link) and Sports-Talk WFNZ-AM (The Fan 610/102.5) and PD of The Link.
Arriens (pictured) is a 30-year industry pro who arrived in Charlotte in March 2017 after a cross-country road trip from Fresno, CA, where he had programmed Cumulus Country KSKS (93.7 Kiss Country). Before that he was PD of Vero Beach Broadcasters AC WGYL (93.7 The Breeze)/Vero Beach, FL, and he notably served as OM of the Citadel/Cumulus cluster in Grand Rapids, MI and was Midwest Regional Director of Operations for Citadel, overseeing 55 stations in the Midwest.
Arriens’ earlier programming stops include KKFM & KKMG/Colorado Springs, WRIF/Detroit, WLZR/Milwaukee, KHYT/Tucson,WKLQ & WHTS/Grand Rapids, WIOT/Toledo, WBYR & WFWI/Ft. Wayne, IN and WXQR/Greenville, NC. He can be congratulated at Darrin.Arriens@entercom.com.
