Atticus Circles Back To The Buzz
• After a five-year run with iHeartMedia Indianapolis as APD/afternoon personality for Alternative WOLT (Alt 103.3) and Imaging Director for the cluster, Chris “Crate” Atticus has made his triumphant return to Cromwell Media Nashville as PD/Brand Manager for Active Rock WBUZ (102.9 The Buzz), Nashville’s Rock Station. He will also host the Buzz midday show and handle Imaging/Production duties.
“I’m stoked to come home to Cromwell Media!” says Atticus, who previously worked for The Buzz from 2010 until late 2014, rising to APD/afternoons/Imaging Director. “It’s a dream come true to return to The Buzz and take the reins of Nashville’s Rock Station!” Prior to his first tour of duty at The Buzz, Atticus spent eight years with WMFS (the former 93X)/Memphis doing nights/afternoon drive and imaging production.
Cromwell Nashville VP/Market Manager Dennis Gwiazdon said, “Chris was a fixture on the rock scene when he left us for Indianapolis. We’re thrilled to have him back as he takes the reins from longtime Buzz PD, Zigz, who relocated out of state earlier this year. Chris checked all our boxes. I’m eagerly looking forward to watching him work his magic.” Concurrent with Crate’s arrival, Buzz afternoon personality Hayley St. John is elevated to APD.
