Audacy Celebrates 50 Years Of Hip-Hop

• Audacy announces Hip-Hop Made: The Countdowns, a special programming series in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop. This series of one-hour Top 10 countdown shows will run each Saturday across 35 Urban, Throwback, Rhythmic AC and Top 40 stations and on the Audacy app. Audacy personalities will guide listeners through the first 50 years of Hip-Hop, presenting a curated selection of the genre’s most influential songs and showcasing the talent and diverse styles that have shaped the Hip-Hop landscape.

The series will culminate with Hip-Hop Made: The 50 Greatest Songs of the Past 50 Years, a long-form countdown show hosted by Audacy nationally syndicated host Ed Lover. This special will air on August 11, 50 years after the birth of Hip-Hop in the Bronx, and feature a selection of the most iconic and groundbreaking songs that have shaped the history of Hip-Hop.
