Audacy Names Allers, Taylor Reg. Alt Managers
• Audacy announced two regional leadership updates for its Alternative format — John Allers joins as Regional Vice President of Alternative. In this role, Allers will oversee KVIL (ALT 103.7)/Dallas, KNRK (94/7 Alternative)/Portland, KKDO (ALT 94-7)/Sacramento, KBZT (ALT 949)/San Diego, and KNDD (107.7 The End)/Seattle.
The company has also appointed Christy Taylor as Regional Brand Manager of KRBZ (ALT 96.5)/Kansas City, KXTE (X107.5)/Las Vegas, WQMP (FM 101.9)/Orlando and KNDD (107.7 The End)/Seattle, effective November 4.

Allers has been programming Alternative and Rock radio brands for over 20 years, including stops in San Jose, Atlanta, Providence, Washington, D.C., Cincinnati, Manchester, VT and Albany, NY. He most recently spent 13 years in Philadelphia as VP of Alternative for iHeartMedia Philly and PD/morning host for WRFF (Radio 104.5) from its launch. “I’m thrilled to join Audacy at such an important time in the company’s evolution into a scaled, multi-platform audio content organization,” said Allers. “Audacy has an unmatched portfolio of legendary Alternative brands and I look forward to joining Mike Kaplan, Jeff Sottolano, Dave Richards, and the entire brand team as we continue to grow and evolve the company’s successful brands into the future.”
Taylor is a 20-year radio pro whose PD credits include the former KQGO (Go 96.3)/Minneapolis and XTRA (91X)/San Diego. She also served as morning show producer and on-air talent for KCMP (The Current)/Minneapolis, and MD/middays for KDKB (Alt AZ 93.3)/Phoenix, nights on KMVA (Hot 97.5/103.9)/Phoenix, APD/MD/middays for WZMR (The Edge)/Albany, NY and weekends at the late WXRK (92.3 K-Rock)/NYC.
