Babb Circles Home To KNTU As OM

• The University of North Texas has announced the hire of Zac Babb as its new Operations Manager for its audio brands — Alt/Triple A KNTU (88.1 indie/McKinney (DFW), Jazz 88.1 The One (KNTU-HD2), and Student Variety MeanGreenHits.com.

Babb, a 2017 North Texas grad and former KNTU student, returns to the station after previously serving as its Sports & Events Manager from September 2022 to January 2025. Babb has also maintained an extensive relationship with North Texas Athletics as the radio play-by-play voice of North Texas Women’s Basketball and serves as the football team’s sideline reporter, engineer, and producer.

General Manager Todd (Shannon) Pitts commented, “Having worked with Zac in the past, I know his heart for broadcasting, coaching students, and without a doubt, he bleeds Mean Green. We are now well poised to serve our ever-growing base of students who have a genuine interest in our medium.”
