Benztown Ups Green, Adds Stevenson
• Benztown, those fine purveyors of radio imaging, voiceover, programming, podcasting, jingles and whatnot, has enhanced its Custom Imaging team, promoting Thomas Green to Director of Custom Imaging and welcoming radio vet Royce Stevenson aboard as Custom Imaging Manager, stepping into the role previously held by Green.
Prior to joining Benztown in 2019, Green was Audio Producer for the No. 1 morning radio show in Australia, Fifi, Fev & Byron. He was also Audio Producer for Carrie & Tommy, and for multiple Hit Network programs across Australia. The Brooklyn, NY-based Green is also the Audio Producer for National Geographic’s FYC podcast, The Making Of.
Stevenson, a.k.a. “Rolls Royce,” heads to Benztown after a 13-year run Audacy Rhythmic KDGS (Power 93.5)/Wichita, KS, most recently as Asst. Brand Manager/afternoon talent and Production Director for cluster. He started his radio career as a board op at the former KSJM (107.9 Jamz)/Wichita.
When initially contacted by RAMP, Benztown President Dave “Chachi” Denes exclaimed, “Who did we promote? We hired someone? No one told me that!” Hey, but seriously… “It’s a privilege to work with Tom and Royce,” Denes said. “Not only are they both incredibly talented but they’re also born leaders. I’m confident they’ll do an incredible job overseeing our fastest growing division.”
Green commented, “It’s remarkable to work alongside such world-class producers and with a team as creative and driven as Benztown. I’m beyond thrilled to be a part of our continued growth.” Stevenson remarked, “I’m so happy to be joining Benztown! It’s truly an honor to be on a team with such talented creators who love and have a passion for making great audio.”
