Brown Named OM of Alpha Media Columbia

• Alpha Media is transferring Brown from his PD position at Urban WGZB (B-96.5) and Urban AC WMJM (Magic 101.3)/Louisville to Columbia, SC as the newly named Operations Manager of the cluster — AC WARQ (Q93.5), Active Rock WARQ-HD2 (Rock 99.7), Urban simulcast WHXT/WSCZ (Hot 103.9 & 99.3), Urban AC WWDM (The Big DM 101), Mainstream Rock WMFX (Fox 102.3) and Triple A WPCO-AM (94.9 The Palm). Brown will remain in his corporate role as Format Captain for the Company’s Urban, Urban AC and Gospel brands.

Alpha Media Regional President Mike Hartel remarked, “Brown is a natural leader and he has been a star in our company for a while now. He has delivered great results in both his Louisville and Format Captain role and I’m confident his winning streak will continue as our newly named operations manager in Columbia.”

Brown joined Alpha Media Louisville in January 2017, following a PD stint with Radio One’s WRNB (Old School 100.3) and WPPZ (Praise 103.9)/Philadelphia. He has also worked in DC, Charlotte and New York City during his career. Brown commented on his upcoming move, saying, “I’m very excited to take on this new journey! It’s an honor to be given this amazing opportunity by Mr. Hartel, Mr. McElveen and Alpha Media’s programming top brass to join this awesome team.
