Callahan Jumps On K-FROG/Riverside

Kevin Callahan has been named as the new Program Director for Entercom Country simulcast KFRG/KXFG (K-FROG 95.1 & 92.9)/Riverside, effective immediately. He succeeds Scott Ward, who recently exited after 25 years.

With this appointment, Callahan now oversees programming efforts for all Entercom Country stations in Southern California as he continues in his existing role as OM of the company’s San Diego group — Country KSON, Sports-Talk KWFN (97.3 The Fan), Alternative KBZT (ALT 94.9), AC KYXY and Classic Hits KXSN (Sunny 98.1). K-FROG recently expanded its reach to KCBS-FM-HD2/Los Angeles.

“We are excited for Kevin to lead the K-FROG stations in Riverside,” said Michael Valenzuela, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Riverside. “His vast award-winning industry experience and leadership in audio and marketing innovation will help raise the bar for our team.” Callahan commented, “I’m honored to be afforded the opportunity to expand my role with Entercom in the Riverside market. I’ve been fortunate to oversee programming efforts for 103.7 KSON and I look forward to taking K-FROG to new heights in the next chapter of my career.”

Prior to joining Entercom in 2010, Callahan was Regional Vice President of Programming for Pamal Broadcasting in New York, overseeing programming strategies for radio stations in New York, Vermont and Florida.
