Changes At Times-Shamrock NEPA
• Changes are afoot in the hallways of Times-Shamrock Communications in Wilkes-Barre-Scranton, PA, starting with the news that Tom Ferguson is stepping down as Program Director of Hot AC WQFM (Q92) and ESPN affiliate WEJL to pursue other opportunities, effective July 2. He will remain with the company as a part-time air talent and sports broadcaster with WEJL. Ferguson joined the cluster in Scranton as a part-timer in 2010, and worked his way up to full-time in 2013 as the Brand Manager & APD of now former Alternative WFUZ (Fuzz 92.1).
The company is now searching for a new PD for Q92. The ideal candidate will have excellent talent development skills, along with the vision to implement new, fresh, creative ideas. Candidates should have experience in programming, and be aware of the trends in the format and industry. You must have passion to be on-air and on the streets to meet listeners, advertisers, and people of influence in the community to help increase awareness of the station, and to build audience numbers.
Interested applicants should send resume, cover letter, aircheck, production audio samples and any other relevant info to GM Terry Deitz at tdeitz@shamrocknepa.com. Please, no phone calls. Times-Shamrock Communications is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
• Times-Shamrock concurrently announced the hire of Heather Burleigh as Promotions Director for WQFM, WEJL and WEZX (Rock 107). She will also take command of the afternoon drive shift on Q92 after Ferguson signs off.

Before that she spent three years across the street with Townsquare Media as Traffic Director and midday personality on 94.3 WCYY.
Burleigh is now on the job and can be contacted at hburleigh@shamrocknepa.com.
