Christmas Arrives Early In Norfolk

• iHeartMedia Norfolk has moved its local Black Information Network (BIN) affiliate from 105.3FM (WNOH), up the dial to 92.1 WHBT — replacing Classic Hip Hop 92.1 The Beat — and is now rebranded as BIN 92.1 FM, Norfolk’s Black Information Network, effective immediately.

BIN has become a vital voice in communities across the country, and we’re proud to continue that trusted news and perspective here in Norfolk,” said Denene Moore, Market President for iHeartMedia Norfolk. “This move ensures that our listeners have access to the stories that matter most, told through a lens that reflects their experiences and voices.”

The Black Information Network (BIN) is the nation’s first and only 24/7 all-news audio service dedicated to providing objective news coverage with a Black voice and perspective.

Ho-Ho-Holy Crap It’s Hot

Meanwhile, the company has decided to let 105.3 air out for a week, and chill, declaring “Christmas In July” and launching “Christmas 105.3.” As the promo notes: “110 degrees at the beach with your favorite ‘Ho Ho Ho’ music!”

And… “Enjoy Your Favorite Christmas Music In July Here on 105 Point 3. Trading In Summertime Margaritas For Mistletoe. Listen on Friday (Aug. 1) when we unwrap a special gift for you here on 105 Point 3.” You should probably stay tuned…
