Cloherty Ready For New Challenge
We’d like to wish our longtime friend Tracy Cloherty all the best as she announced her departure as VP of Talent & Music Programming at BET and prepares to embark on her next media industry adventure. In a Facebook post, Cloherty said, “After almost 7 years, BET & I are parting ways… I’m looking forward to spending the rest of the summer lying on the beach, sailing on the ocean and staying out late every night… but come Fall, I’m open to exciting new career opportunities… thrilled by the possibilities!”
Cloherty joined BET in January 2011, armed with a radio resume that included a 17-year run with Emmis New York, where she rose though the ranks from Research Director to PD of WQHT (Hot 97), and later, VP of Programming, overseeing Hot 97, WRKS and the former WQCD. She later programmed CBS Radio’s former WXRK (92.3 K-Rock)/New York from 2007-2008. As her summer heats up, Ms. Cloherty’s many friends, fans and assorted well-wishers may… um… wish her well at tracy.cloherty@gmail.com, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Ok Cupid, Match.com, Zoosk, Tindr…
