CMG Atlanta Seeks On-Air APD
• Cox Media Group Atlanta announced the elimination of one position and the creation of a new programming-based role — first, Madison James has exited her afternoon drive position at AC WSB-FM (B98.5) after a six-year run as that job has been eliminated.
At the same time the company announced that the B98.5 afternoon shift has been folded into a newly created programming/on-air position and has now initiated a search for what it describes as “an exceptional assistant program director/on-air host” to assist with the programming for CMG Atlanta’s music stations and execute a live afternoon drive shift on B98.5.
As Chris Eagan, Sr. Director of Operations for CMG Atlanta explained, “I need someone who is outstanding both on-air and behind the scenes. This person needs to be able to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities for B98.5 and our other music stations, Classic Hits WSRV (97.1 The River) and Urban AC WALR (Kiss 104.1).” All candidates for this EOE position need to apply online via the Cox Media Group Careers site (Req. # 195476).
